Photo Gallery | Pole Vaulters jump higher in Zeeland

Monday and Thursday evenings at the Zeeland Public Schools athletic stadium have been the place for aspiring (and “retiring”) pole vaulters from the Holland/Zeeland area.  High School students interested in learning how to Pole Vault, or experienced vaulters looking to improve their skills, come together on the runways on the Southwest end of the complex to hone their craft.

Coaches from the two Zeeland High Schools make sure everyone learns in a safe environment that encourages athletes to perform at their best.  Skill levels vary from those who have never picked up a pole to those who have been vaulting since landing areas were nothing more than oversized bags filled with air.  No matter their ability level, the one thing everyone involved can count on,  is having a good time getting some exercise learning how to vault better.
