Allegan County, Mich. - The 2011 Annual Tree Seedling Sale has come to close! But we still have many varieties of tree seedlings left!  The extra seedlings can be purchased at the Allegan Conservation District Office between 9:00am and 4:00pm April 19th - April 29th. The District office is located at 1668 Lincoln Road M-40 North in Allegan, MI.

Over thirty seedling species are still available including: sugar maple, white oak, blue spruce, red pine, white pine, concolor fir and even our sought after half inch diameter trunk fruit trees. Tree seedlings are approximately two to three feet tall and this year’s fruit trees are four to six feet tall.  All fruit trees are semi dwarf and include apple, pear, plum and peach. Please call the District office at 269-673-8965 x4 for more information or visit the District website at allegancd.org.

Since 1941, the Allegan Conservation District has provided low-cost trees and shrubs for sale to the public at its Annual Tree Seedling Sale. This is a great opportunity for landowners to join with the District in "putting conservation in the ground". The plants are suitable for use in a variety of locations, including your urban backyard and along your streamside property to establish a lush riparian buffer or a hedge row along your farm field.

The Annual Tree Sale supports the conservation efforts of the Allegan Conservation District. The District has sold over 4 million tree seedlings to public landowners in Allegan County over the past 66 years. For more information on the technical and educational programs the District offers please call the office or visit allegancd.org.
