GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A West Michigan bank robber was sentenced in court this week.
Jetson Lawrence Bryant, 48, of Indianapolis, will spend 24 years in prison for the robbing the Chemical Bank in Van Buren County.
Bryant will also have to pay $2,460 and have a supervised release.
On June 2011, Bryant robbed the Chemical Bank, presenting tellers with a gun and a note saying he would shoot.
Officers later found him coming out of the woods nearby, holding the money and gun. He was arrested and also confessed to robbing the Fifth Third Bank in Holland in April of last year.
The Department of Justice says Bryant robbed six banks in 1994 and convicted of three more bank robberies in 2000.
