Holland man invited to State of the Union Address | News
HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- A West Michigan man got an unexpected call to attend the State of the Union Address in Washington DC.
Bryan Ritterby, a worker at Energetx Composites in Holland, will be sitting near First Lady Michelle Obama during the speech.
Bryan had been laid off, before taking his current job in Holland. He reinvented himself by going through a Grand Rapids Community College training program.
He now works in at Energetx focusing on alternative energy. His lab currently tests materials used in wind turbines.
