Try It Before You Buy It: Salon Express | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM)-Salon Express is an at-home nail design set that's supposed to give you professional salon results in just minutes without paying a fortune. It sells online for an advertised $10 and includes five image plates with 40 different designs.
It works by using design plates that come with various images you can put on your nails, from flowers to animal prints.
You simply paint polish over top of the design you want, scrape off the excess polish and use a stamp-like tool to transfer the image to your nails.
A group of cosmetologists from Tulip City Beauty College in Holland helped me test it out. We found that when we transferred the image, often times it ended up smudging and having polish in places we didn't want it. The images also weren't very vibrant, compared to hand painting or using stickers or decals.
Our biggest complaint was the mess. Every time you want to put another design on another nail, you'd have to use polish remover to clean the plate and the scraper. It was time consuming and cumbersome.
