Crews respond to Holland factory fire
News

HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Firefighters are working with the owners of a Holland factory to make sure the facility does not catch fire again.

The building housing Challenge Manufacturing on West Washington Avenue near U.S. 31 caught fire around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators believe the flames started on the roof near the facility's skylight. They say it was likely caused by sparks from welding that was going on at the time.

This is not the first time firefighters have been called out the Challenge Manufacturing, but they say company leaders are listening to their suggestions about how to prevent future fires.

Workers resumed operations shortly after the fire was put out.
