Tulip Time 2016 entertainment revealed

HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Amid falling leaves, Tulip Time organizers already are thinking spring.

The entertainment line-up for the 2016 event has been announced and features "Blue Collar" comedian Bill Engvall. He originally was set to perform last year but because of a family engagement, the comic was forced to cancel.

"All systems are go this year," organizers said in a news release.

Tickets for Engvall's show and all other programs go on sale Nov. 9 and can be purchased at tuliptime.com, in person at the festival box office at 74 West 8th St. in Holland or by calling 800-822-2770.

Here's a rundown of all events slated for Tulip Time, which runs May 7-14, 2016:

National shows:

Bill Engvall: 7 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Central Wesleyan Auditorium. Premium seating tickets are $72 per person and general seating tickets are $58 per person.

The Wonder Bread Years: 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12. Tickets are $32 per person.

Walt Matzke's Four Pianos: 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11. Tickets are $25 per person.

FiddleFire: 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11. Tickets are $23 per person.

New Odyssey Dinner Show: 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, through Friday, May 13. Tickets are $44 per person.

The Local Art & Culture Series, featuring local Holland organizations

Leaving Iowa, a comedy by Spike Manton and Tim Clue performed by the Holland Civic Theatre

With a Song in My Heart: A Night with Richard Rodgers, by the Holland Chorale

Beatles4Ever, the Holland Windmill Chorus celebrates The Beatles

The Marvelous Wonderettes, performed by the Holland High School Theatre

Broadway's Best, by the Evergreen Chorale

Dazzle, performed by four local high schools, featuring soloists, show choir and orchestral performances


Garden programs:

Get a Good Swift Kick in the Plants: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7. Tickets are $20 per person.

Fun with Flowers and J: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14. Tickets are $25 per person.
