HOLLAND TWP., Mich. (WZZM) -- Six people were hurt, two seriously, when a driver pulled out of a gas station and into the path of another car.

The accident happened around 2:20 p.m. on Adams Street and 96th Avenue.

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies say Catherine Rector, 19, turned left from the Mobile gas station onto Adams Street when she was struck broadside by a westbound SUV.

Rector was pinned in her car and had to be extricated by Holland Township rescue crews. She was flown by Aero Med to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A backseat passenger in Rector's car, Austin Mulders, was not seatbelted and received serious injuries. He was also taken to Spectrum Health with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Four others suffered minor injuries, including two children in the SUV.

At some point during the crash, a third vehicle knocked over a pump at the gas station and fled the scene. Deputies are still investigating all aspects of the crash.
