Taco Bell manager robbed taking deposit to bank

HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) - Holland Police are searching for the person responsible for a strong-armed robbery at a Taco Bell.

The robbery happened at about 10:00am Tuesday at the Taco Bell in the 1100 block of S. Washington Ave.

The Department of Public Safety Police Services say that one of the managers, an 18-year-old Holland woman, was taking a bank deposit bag to her vehicle to take to the bank when she was pushed by the suspect. The suspect grabbed the bank bag and fled the scene.

A K9 unit attempted to track the suspect which led to a nearby apartment complex. The track was lost there. Police found a fresh set of tire tracks in the light snow on the road, which may have indicated the suspect got into a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to early 20's, about 5' 09", very thin, "bushy" hair wearing a red or maroon hooded sweatshirt and blue or gray pants. He was not armed. The manager was not hurt in the incident.
