My Town: Ottawa Conservation District elections March 3

---NEWS RELEASE---

The Ottawa Conservation District will be holding their Annual Meeting and Elections on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 6pm in the Nature Education Center at Hemlock Crossing County Park, 8115 West Olive Road in West Olive.

The evening will feature “Breakfast for Dinner” in keeping with our special presentation, Maple Syrup and the Sugar Bush at Blandford Nature Center.  Learn about maple syrup production in Michigan (you can do it in your own backyard!) and about the activities that Blandford has to offer.

Also on the agenda will be a short summary of conservation accomplishments in Ottawa County and a look ahead to our plans for 2015.  To wrap things up, we will announce the new director that will be elected that night and celebrate with a few door prizes!

There will be time to visit the educational booths that will be hosted by the Macatawa Watershed Project, the Lower Grand River Organization of Watersheds, and the West Michigan Cluster of the Stewardship Network.

If you would like to attend this event, we are asking for RSVPs to 616.846.8770x122 or becky.huttenga@macd.org and a $5 donation at the door.
