Zeeland’s Magical Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony

Zeeland explodes with holiday excitement for the whole family to enjoy!

Make your way to Splash Pad Park in Zeeland on Monday, November 27 to experience the festive 6:15pm tree lighting ceremony with TubaChristmas Caroling from 5:45pm – 6:15pm and proceed to downtown Zeeland for the Magical Christmas Parade at 6:30pm.

The parade begins at the corner of Main Avenue and Centennial Street, working west down Main Avenue to Elm Street. Turning south on Elm Street to Central Avenue. Which then turns left onto Central, finishing up at Central & Maple Street.

Wishbone 4th Annual Wag N’ Walk Dog Walk and Pet Expo

Saturday, August 12 is a great opportunity to help raise funds and awareness for neglected, lost and homeless pets through the Allegan Animal Shelter.

Register soon for some great morning 4 legged friend exercise with Free - afternoon fun at the Pet Expo. The community is encouraged from 9:00am to noon to participate in this fun 1 mile walk. Bring your family and pets to Jaycee Park, Dog Park located at 200 Monroe St. in Allegan, Michigan to benefit 2 or 4 legged pets!

The Wishbone tent will offer door prizes, raffle prizes & more plus vendor booths loaded with animal & people treats, along with crafts and fun activities at the Pet Expo.

Cost is $25, for the 1 mile Dog Walk which includes a goody bag with a t-shirt & giveaways. Keep in mind that a shorter walk can accommodate senior dogs & little dogs.

The City of Holland and Holland in Bloom invite resident to join this Tulip Dig on Saturday, May 20 at 3 locations in the city of Holland, Window on the Waterfront (6th Street between College & Columbia Avenues), Centennial Park (10th Street between River & Central Avenues) and the large tulip field at Windmill Island Gardens. Come early but remember to bring a bucket, gardening gloves, a shovel and any other necessary equipment to help uncover those precious bulbs. Those planning to dig out tulip bulbs must check in at the chosen park to pay and get instructions. Rain or shine, this Tulip dig takes place from 9:00am through noon or while the bulbs last. The community is invited to enjoy this indoor Spring - Maple celebration to benefit Degraaf Nature Center’s education programs!

There is free admission to attend this delicious Palooza! Check out many types of food and drink made with maple for purchase, live music by a local Irish Band, Tiki O’Riley and free Kid’s Crafts.

There is something for everyone at DeGraaf Nature Center on Saturday, March 25 from 11am-3pm.
