Holland In Bloom announces July winner

July 1, 2011. Holland, Michigan. Holland in Bloom's first place Bloominʼ Beautiful Best Front Yard Contest winner for July is Ed and Ruth Slenk' s stunning annual garden. Located at 162 W. 34th Street, many of the annuals in this award-winning garden start from seed in Ed Slenk's backyard "hobby" greenhouse. This hobby produces a yard spilling over with lively red geraniums, colorful begonias, sun loving petunias and snow-white alyssum. Red and pink begonias line the driveway and larger yellow, orange and peach begonias surround an ornamental tree. Day lilies, pachysandra and other perennials play a supporting role in this beautiful garden.
