New Pumpkin Passport kicks off Pumpkinfest 2013

ZEELAND, Mich. - This year’s Pumpkinfest is starting early with the addition of the Pumpkin Passport.

Nine local restaurants are featuring a custom pumpkin dish or drink from now until October 5 that people can try, and then be entered into a drawing for free gift cards.

Participating Pumpkin Passport restaurants include: Frank’s, Public, Main St. Beanery, The 6 Eight, Vitale’s, The Farmhouse, City on a Hill Café, Zeeland Bakery, and Community Restaurant.  Dishes and drinks will include things like: soup, pastas, desserts and coffee drinks, all of which will have a pumpkin theme.

In order to be eligible to win a gift card from one of the participating restaurants, people will have to visit at least five of the restaurants, try their featured pumpkin dish or drink, and then get their passport stamped by a restaurant employee.  Passports must then be mailed to Zeeland Festivals, PO Box 94, Zeeland, MI 49464 by October 11, 2013.  The drawing will be held the week of October 14, and winners will be notified by phone or email.

Pumpkin Passports can be found in this year’s Pumpkinfest brochure, which will be mailed out to all Zeeland residents and also distributed to local businesses throughout Zeeland and surrounding areas.  A copy of the Pumpkin Passport can also be found on the Pumpkinfest website (www.pumpkinfest-zeeland.org ) or by clicking here.
