The Bank of Holland open for Business in Grand Haven
Business, News

Holland, MI – Grand Haven’s current and projected growth has prompted The Bank of Holland to open a Lakeshore Business Office to assist Lakeshore business owners in the Grand Haven and Muskegon areas with a wider range of lending options to support their growth potential.

The Bank of Holland Lakeshore Business Office, 16930 Robbins Rd. Suite 120, Grand Haven, MI 49417, is now open. While strictly a lending office, The Bank of Holland will provide couriers to make service runs to clients’ locations for deposits. The office will also provide a suite of electronic offerings such as OnLine Banking and OnSite Banking (remote deposit capture), which allows businesses to scan checks and deposit them digitally with the bank.

Tom Werkman, SVP Lakeshore Market Manager, states, “We believe businesses here have been underserved by the banking industry. The Bank of Holland already has a significant number of business clients in this region and we believe there are other businesses that will benefit from our personal approach to relationship banking. This new office demonstrates our commitment to expanding and building relationships here.”

As a top ranked SBA lender in the state―and the only bank in Michigan to be awarded both SBA Lender of the Year and USDA Business & Industry Lender of the Year in 2010―The Bank of Holland brings their unparalleled business lending experience to Grand Haven and the entire Lakeshore region.

Werkman went on to say, “The Lakeshore’s manufacturing base and Lake Michigan itself are two of the strongest assets this region has to fuel growth over the next decade. The latest Upjohn Institute numbers show the Lakeshore employment picture remained mixed but manufacturers increased their workforce by 2.5 percent employment during the quarter, an addition of more than 700 jobs. We understand that quarterly numbers are just an economic snapshot but, long term, Lakeshore businesses are going to need business financing options that meet their growth potential.”
