About Holland in Bloom

Holland in Bloom is part of the America in Bloom (AIB) Competition that promotes nationwide beautification through education and community involvement by encouraging the use of flowers, plants, trees, and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements. Holland has entered the annual contest between cities of similar populations.  AIB expert judges, arriving the first week in August, will evaluate the city of Holland based on eight categories. After touring the city, based on a pre-determined route, the judges will provide an in-depth report on Holland’s current status and a detailed analysis on steps for improvement. Awards will be presented at a National Symposium in Washington DC in October.
