Santa Claus visits for Holland Parade of Lights December 3

HOLLAND, Mich.—Santa Claus will take a break from his busy Christmastime schedule to visit Holland Tuesday, December 3.

The man in red will be the guest of honor during the city’s Parade of Lights, which starts at 6:30 p.m.  Nearly 80 entries are expected to light up the streets, including floats, bands and vehicles, all decked out in holiday lights.  The parade kicks off at the corner of Eighth Street and Columbia Avenue.  The procession will continue down Eighth Street until it reaches the Eighth Street Market Place.

Visitors are also encouraged to stroll through Centennial Park to take in the snowflake light display and city Christmas tree, which is already trimmed for the season.  You can also spot Santa climbing up the chimney of the James DeYoung Generating Plant.  The holiday lights displays will be up and running throughout the month of December.
