GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—It’s Halloween time, and the American Red Cross is out for blood. 

This month, the organization is partnering up with the Grand Rapids Ballet to offer donors a buy one, get one free coupon to the company’s performance of “Dracula.”

“Much like Dracula needed blood to stay alive, thousands of hospital patients also need this precious resource to survive,” said Todd Kulman, communications program manager with the Great Lakes Blood Services Region. 

This year’s production of Dracula returns with a newly orchestrated score and updated scenery and projections.

The American Red Cross will be holding blood drives at the following locations:

  • October 14, 1 p.m.-6:45 p.m. – Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Ave. NE, Greenville
  • October 17, 1 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. –Intersection Ministries, 945 136th Ave., Holland
  • October 18, 10 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.—Holland Hospital, 602 Michigan Ave., Holland
  • October 22, 10 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.—Fifth Third Bank, 36th E. 8th St., Holland
  • October 24, 11:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.—American Red Cross, 270 James St., Holland
  • October 30, 12 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.—Hanley Christian Reformed Church, O-372 Jackson St., Grandville
  • October 31, 10 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.—Rehmann, 2330 East Paris Ave. SE, Kentwood
  • October 31, 12 p.m.-5:45 p.m.—Howard Miller Community Center, 14 S. Church St., Zeeland
