First Lady's lives on display as C-SPAN bus visits Hope College

HOLLAND – The C-SPAN Bus will be at Hope College Thursday, September 5 as part of a Michigan colleges tour.

The bus will be in the parking lot across from the DeWitt Center,  located at 12th Street and Columbia Avenue in Holland, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to board the bus; admission will be free.

The C-SPAN Bus is an interactive, multi-media learning center that brings C-SPAN’s coverage of public affairs to communities nationwide and teaches the public how to “Follow Washington Your Way.” Visitors who board the bus can learn about C-SPAN programming and resources via HD TVs, touch screen computers, laptops and mobile devices.

The bus will be highlighting C-SPAN’s new series that began this past February, “First Ladies: Influence and Image.” The series features the women who served in the role of first lady over 44 administrations, examining their private lives and the public roles they played in the White House.
