HOLLAND, MI (WZZM) - Holland police say they believe a robbery and assault early Saturday morning may be connected to two other robberies.

The most recent attack happened Saturday morning at about 12:30am.  A man and woman walking east on 21st Street near Columbia Avenue was approached by four men.

Police say the suspects were armed with baseball bats, and one suspect appeared to be carrying a handgun.

The robbers ordered the couple to the ground and took their possessions.  At one point, one of the robbers hit the man across the back.

Both of the previous incidents were reported on August 22nd in the early morning hours.

In one incident, two 18 year old men were walking in the area of 16th Street and Central Avenue when they were approached by four or five young men and told to get on the ground and empty their pockets.

The victims had their wallets and other items stolen, and were kicked and punched.

The other incident happened about an hour later.  A 26 year old man was riding his bicycle near 17th Street and Columbia Avenue.  The victim was riding past a parked vehicle when he was struck in the head by someone hiding behind the vehicle.

The victim fell off his bicycle and was then assaulted while three or four other suspects watched.

None of the victims suffered serious injuries.
