Auditions for the Holland Chorale Scheduled for January 4
Auditions for the Holland Chorale Scheduled for January 4

Holland, Michigan - Area singers are invited to audition for the Holland Chorale's January-April performance season. The audition will be held the evening of January 4, 2011 at the Holland Area Arts Council, 150 E. Eighth Street, Holland.
The winter season's repertoire will feature performances of Joseph Haydn's Mass in Time of War and Vaughan Williams' Toward the Unknown Region with orchestra. Another highlight will be the Holland Chorale's March 2011 performances at Carnegie Hall. Singers chosen from the audition will be eligible to tour to Carnegie if desired.
The Holland Chorale is a distinguished Michigan choral ensemble that draws singers from as far away as Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, and East Lansing. The ensemble brings to the community fine choral music performed with artistic excellence and, in addition to Holland performances, will offer performances in Hamilton, Saugatuck, and Zeeland this season.
Singers interested in joining the Holland Chorale must demonstrate sight-singing proficiency, ensemble aural skills (ability to hear and adapt), and a commitment to the season's rehearsal and performance schedule. Singers auditioning should prepare a solo (an art song, aria, or classic musical theatre selection) that has a printed piano accompaniment. Please bring two printed copies of the solo to the audition.
